Fraser Kent for Ward 2 City Councilor Saskatoon Election

Here is possibly the most important job of a city councillor: What are your thoughts?

Our system of representative governance, by which a group of residents (in our case Ward 2 residents) elect one person (the councillor) to represent them at City Hall, to reflect the values and interests of the residents. This is the model on which our city runs.
Important in the ability of the councillor to do that job effectively is:
Communication-
Citizens being informed.
-This has to be two way communication.
-I will reply to correspondence from ward residents.
-I will meet with people when there are questions about council decisions. (group or individuals) e.g. community meetings, groups that have a particular interest or concern, individual residents.

I need your help if elected to represent you effectively:
- When information is sent out- reply, call, email, visit my council website, subscribe to my newsletter, and the City of Saskatoon - Your Local Government.
-I will send out timely information.
-I will respond to emails.
-Talk to your neighbors-
-Many people in our diverse community are new to our city, and may be permanent residents who aren’t afforded the opportunity to vote in civic elections.
-We need to include them all- they are part of the community that we live in.
-Follow news that affects our community- If you see something that either concerns you, or will be a real benefit to our ward, let me know.
-Information from residents will only help to keep me up to date on what is happening in our community.
